So I am fixing Sons of the Lleuadine to be published. Again you can read more about that in this entry below, which also links to my official author blog, where there is another entry about it.
So without repeating myself, – I’m gonna tell you why I ended up with this problem.
See as I mentioned over and over, I wrote three stories for maybe we were the monsters, – when that folded. I renamed the stories and re-wrote the stories to be stand alone.
One was Heart Shaped Tattoos (always meant to be the first)
Second was Sons of Caina (later remade to be sons of the lleuadine)
Third was episode: Blackthorn (later completely, like 95% remade to be cold hollow/the cold hollow tapes)
So what happened was I got stuck in sons of Caina, I simply couldn’t make the end work, – you can read about that in the link to my author blog from the link above. So I moved on th episode: Blackthorn.
I finished both these short stories (and when I say short it’s like 200’ish pages). But just like sons of Caina, I fucking hated the ending of episode: blackthorn. And for both stories, the more I edited them, the less sense the original plot devices that I actually kinda liked and what made the dynamics work, – did not fit in.
Let’s just say, those fuckers were more holed that schwizz cheese.
So I started a third (or fourth) story, called Outpost Lazarus, -this one I started outside the premise of maybe we were monsters, but it was definitely meant to be a future take on the same world. However that one I haven’t finished yet.
I went back and forth a whole lot with both stories. until – yeah you guessed it. I wrote a fifth story, – originally just meant to be a direct sequel to heart shaped tattoos. But then the weirdest thing happened.
I am for unknown reasons a huge masochist, and decided to take sons of Caina out, because that was very specific in it’s geographics, and I didn’t want to change that, because I felt it was a part of it’s uniqueness (for me at least). And then the third story, which is actually the second.
And so now the lineup looks like
Heart Shaped Tattoos
Murky Mile Boys
Cold Hollow Tapes.
And that leaves both Outpost Lazarus and sons of Caina outside the timeline.
Try as I might, I simply couldn’t bridge anything.
And in the end I started (as I said in the entry on my authors blog) to reel Caina back, and move the plot back close to the original, just with a different take, and reason for it. And it worked! It fucking worked!
And since Murky Mile Boys are technically the newest story of the bunch, it’s not a part of the three I finished, even if we could say, because I decided to rework episode: blackthorn almost complete, it’s not.. but yeah. To not confuse you too much, – the second book in the trilogy is the newest and not finished yet. (there is is like a TON of stuff that has to carry across all three works, so it’s a little more complicated than the first)
Since sons of Caina, now redubbed to sons of the Lleuadine, – was originally planned to be like a spin off (I mean according to the new line up). I originally made the cover to fit the others, and also included it in the collected work.
And then… then I changed my fucking mind.
This is the layout I made to fit the Murky Mile stories, but since all there’s left is a connection that none will even know is a connection unless they read the Cold Hollow Tapes, – I will leave it unsaid for now. But it doesn’t belong in the collection, even if it’s in the same universe.
So For an entirely different reason, I goofed about with covers in Canva, making these.

So I admit I like the folkhorror cover the bests, the two others are nice, but they’re basically backups.
And you see, – now I can’t fucking decide.
so I am asking you, if you’re there, I got no one else than who ever reads this, if anyone does. Becauses if you ask in any forum, you’ll be booed out of tomorrow. Becauses people sadly ses an ai cover as an ai book.
