As I mentioned in the entry below, I planned on some changes to heart shaped tattoos, and now the new version is live so I figured I’d show you what those changes are.

First of all the most obvious change is the cover.

I decided to return to a portrait instead of a building, mostly because I feel like this is a story which is carried by the characters, and so it makes sense. This is actually supposed to be Early, but it doesn’t really matter, does it. I mean it wasn’t created to be Early, I just felt like it fit. Because let’s face it, – it was made to be Efrem from Nocturnes. But the chances are you’ll never read that story at all. So why not use this graphic, because after all it sorta fit better as Early than Efrem.

The second change is in the beginning of the book.

I also changed the note from author, in which I detail what I changed, as in the years, and why I changed the years mentioned. I also explain that even if I used syntography to make the cover, no other part of the book is made with any use of AI.

I realise that people will have to buy the book to read the foreword, but seriously, I felt like I needed to explain my stance on things. And how I find a book with a cover edited from an image created with generative AI, something very different from an AI book. And that I have never and will never write with AI, not because I have issues per se. But because it sorta takes the part of the process I love away from me, – which makes no sense.

So this is how it will show up now, – I haven’t bothered to enter the new version in GoodReads, I mean why go through all that bs for that? It’s not like anyone gives a flying fuck. And if someone else feels like updating the version, they can go right ahead.
