Now this author, she does sound like an entitled cunt. And I don’t know what the fuck her very immature deal is.
I mean who does this, unless they are like 13 and borderline. And even if I am not necessarily crazy about this youtube creator, I will give her, she is pretty vague on the topic of AI. It’s pretty clear she isn’t wild about it, and dude neither am I actually, but you already know that.
But what pisses me off is shit like this.
I mean WHY?
This author is problematic on her own, describing people with darker skin like “so dark they looked dirty”, I mean that is just not okay outside Alabama. (perhaps not even in Alabama).
And then she tries to rectify these racist accusations with making this incredibly weird and slightly creepy, and anatomically off AI image. And stating it was important to her to get this character’s skin-color right, because she is apparently of mixed ethnical heritage.
Bitch, that chick in that photo is white.
Her features are white as can be, you just used a filter to make her skin more caramel. – that is called ‘digging your own grave’, habibi.
Anyways, the other screenshot there, are the comments. And why the fuck are the comments ‘ew ai’, ‘don’t use ai’. what the fuck! She just made a literal blackface image, and all you care about is if it’s ai or not?
And while I do not like this author, she is ridiculous, super problematic, and everything wrong. This fucking bothers me.
Do any of these sanctimonious dickheads ever visit an author’s group? It is the new goddamn norm. And we all know it!
There are those who backtrack when they are “caught”, and promise to do better, claiming they learned by their mistakes. Which I promise you, they have not. They just cover it up better, makes sure they aren’t as careless as they were when people called them out.
And seriously I do not understand why the general anti-ai crowd don’t see it’s shit like this that makes liars of most.
So I commented.
and in case you can’t read it, this is what it says; I am not against authors using AI, I know many of my fellow indie authors does. But I guess we all draw a line somewhere in what is, and what is not “an ai book”. And for me personally I will say; I draw the line with the actual writing. I mean, use it in your process all you want, but don’t use it to write your pages. I will never understand why people use it to write their books, and still call themselves authors, I really don’t. And it bothers me so many authors (both indie and not) think the readers won’t notice… but it shows, habibi, it really does. – And if I had one wish for indie authors, and the online landscape we navigate, it would be to just own it. If you used AI; be honest! don’t make half baked apologies, excuses, gaslighting or lies. Sure it will alienate some readers, but at least you’re honest. And at the end of the day, it’s something you decided to use, and decisions have consequences. As you’d say in Danish, “you can’t blow air, and have flour in your mouth”, meaning you gotta make a choice, you simply can’t have both. And as I see it, a lot of the anger comes when we as readers, because authors are readers too most of the time. We feel deceived, when it turns out they didn’t write it themselves. The lies does so much more damage than the truth. – with that said, there’s having an opinion, and then dying on the hill, like that lady in the video, she sounds batshit crazy in every way possible.
And i totally stand by this.
Just fucking own it, it’s a choice you made, – simple as. You’re not sorry you used AI, you’re sorry you got caught, because you used it in all the wrong places.
So the thing is, suddenly this is about “this ai positive author”, and admitted she is apparently going to die on that hill, because some of the shit she wrote in other insta threads or tiktoks, is just straight up unhinged.
And don’t get me started on her being a member of hillsong, and being “modern pro-life”.
So in short, I hate everything I know about her. Also she writes in a genre I don’t give a fuck about, so there’s that.
It just bothers me like nothing else that the debate is suddenly about AI. And I kinda get it, as I said in the comment, – I’d feel deceived too! But somehow the use of AI just cancels out all the other shit this cunt is saying and doing.

That is what gets me… Come on, it’s opium for the masses, folks!
I don’t support writing your book with AI. But the thing is, if you do, and you are transparent and honest about it. I would defend your reason and/or right to do so.
Because, it’s not deceptive if you’re not lying. You will as I say, alienate some, but seriously… that is the price you pay.
Dude! you alienate some by selecting a genre, so it’s just one of those things.
I’m done debating these things online, I am just going to do what the hell I want, I don’t owe anyone an explanation, I truly don’t. Does it hurt my sales?
Listen, I have no sales to speak of, and I think it would exactly the same, did I not use AI covers.
Indie authors with no buzz, writing in a very narrow niche, – and only one book to their name. Who also don’t pay advertisement, or likes to do aggro PR on social media…
Yeah we’re bound to get lost in the shuffle, and I’m honestly, super okay with that. I like going under the radar, that means no waves, and no drama. It also means no expectations and crazies. I can write in the tempo I fucking well feel like.
But as the creator of the youtube video very rightly point out, there is a difference between being harassed, and called out.
This author claims she is being harassed by “meanies”, that is seriously the word she uses, – because she made a tiktok about using chatGTP for research in her books. I must admit I fail to see what kind of research you’d do for a teenage romance novel, but each to their own. Maybe i’m being a pretentious asshole right now.
But then she publishes a book, and apparently this book is very bad. Even her most die-hard fans, give it one star on goodreads. The common thread being the grammar, and boring characters.
And if I were a fan, I’d wonder if she did indeed use chatGTP for more, than she claims. It’s not normal that authors change “language”, completely. Even if you use an AI correcting tool like outwrite, it will still keep your tone, because it’s just arranging/shuffling your words.
On the other hand, I think she could be making some kind of bizarre statement about AI. As far as I know, she hasn’t made any statement about her new release and AI, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she came out and said it’s written with AI, and the haters are just hating because they are mean.
