I use it a lot to make silly graphics for this blog, and desktops – that is no secret. BUT I rarely just make shit, I of course worked over many different ai gens to find a style I like, and I will disagree with the traditional artists who claim that no one has a style when it comes to AI, because I absolutely think people do.
As I know I said before, I know no one in that community who isn’t aiming for a unique style.
But fuck that, I made the desktop for Bedlam, you can read about that in this entry.
And so I meddled around with it a little more, because I was basically procrastinating being a functional adult. and I made some other stuff, like this. I figured, why not use that image I made for Heart Shaped Tattoos? I mean it’s not official or anything, it’s just my own silly ideas about how things look. And I can tell you, both the character and the background were made with two different gen ai, years apart actually. but both made for this story, just for my own enjoyment. The background has just been collecting dust in a folder called HST, from back when I thought I’d do a book trailer with AI imagery and TTS. So I made all that work only to delete it in a fit of rage over the internet assholes. You can read about this whole shitshow here if you want to
The character image is new, but it just went to well with how I imagined Early, that I tossed it into the folder, and when I was messing with desktops, I sorta felt like it fit HST, but on the other hand I also felt it was a little self absorbed to do an ‘official ai graphic manip’ desktop, so I just uploaded it as a regular desktop. Click on the link and it will take you to box.net where you can download it. But you can also find it at my Wallpaper Cave profile.

And remember I said I didn’t have a playlist, well I made one after the fact, and made it a little neat banner.
Anyways while playing around with my monsters, and another background I actually made for one of Anne’s stories, again back to the story trailers that I gave up on, but unlike the one for Heart Shaped Tattoos, I still have hers laying about somewhere in my heaps of scrapped projects and shit on Canva.
So I used a demonic monster on this background, and for some reason I thought it worked real well as the Unmaker, and so I decided to leave that here as well, for you to download. Again, click (i accidently wrote lick, and don’t do that) – but CLICK the image to go to box.net and get this desktop.

And this leads me to what I really wanted to say, when I was goofing about with this, I looked for backgrounds, and found a background for a project never begun (again with the book trailers) for what was then called the funeral lullaby, then changed name to once we were someone else, and then to episode:blackthorn. But you see, I never really did like the concept, because it’s too close to the Bedlam one, I mean both is about recording stuff for a show. And I did want to remove that from episode blackthorn, not as a concept of getting them all to the plantation, and so I don’t think the story will change name.
But I will take away some of the most glaring similarities. And I always thought the ending was lame, well really it doesn’t have an ending per se – just a place where I cut it off. And the plotline is handicapped because it makes no sense, I mean, as I said before it changes narrator ffs, so I really need to look at it.
SO… if I can tackle homemade werewolves… I can do vampires, right?
And I will, which would make so much more sense for that story. I am actually quite amused at how the solution to my story issues are so easy, but unused because I initially did not want to write monsters, as in actual monsters. Things change, and because I am not caught within the same box with these stories, I can write whatever makes sense. And so I will be twisting that story as well. And I just wanted to show you the image that made me think that, and kick my muse.

You can download it here at box.net if you want to (click the image), but yeah – that image made me go ‘wait a fucking minute, what if…’ and it sort of worked itself out from there.
So don’t tell me ai graphics doesn’t kick the creative processes, because it does.
