DREAMS OF A LOST MOONCHILD

So while I am working on redoing the concept of Sons of Caina, so it will become Bedlam Lullabies (and I am not sure it will keep that title, but for now it’s the placeholder title, unless something more clever comes up.)

And while I am not writing a story in Welsh, then because even if I am very fucking vague with placing it, then it need some sort of anchor, since history is a big part of this story. Unlike Heart Shaped Tattoos, which didn’t need a specific place to work, this one sort of does.

But omg all those goddamn W and Y’s is driving me nuts. I mean just like all other dialects of Gaelic, I don’t find it difficult to pronounce – but their spelling wow… the Finnish has nothing on the Welsh. Just sayin.

It is just not a pretty language, sorry not sorry. It sounds like a drunk Dutchman, trying to speak Faroese.

Anyways, so

I did make some progress, in the way that I decided on my weird ass hybrid made up creature, for now I am thinking it is a genetic mutation which can stay dormant when both parents does not carry the gene. Not sure how that will work, or if it’s even important, but well i like to worldbuild, just in case. (I learned my lesson from Kryos) The important bit is really, that it’s something you’re born with.

Also I decided that the hybrid is called the Lleuadine, or well that is what they call themselves. lleuad means moon in Welsh as far as I can figure out, and yes I googled that, but I didn’t rely on one source only. Luckily the Welsh is really into their history, so there are plenty sites to get information from.

Lleuadine is a made up word, but I think it fits.

You can read about the family trees and read the short explanation I made for myself to find my own way around the very confusing family relations. And yes I am aware that I wrote Elben instead of Elgar in the family tree and the explanation, but I can’t be arsed to correct it, since it’s basically just my own notes. So besides that, I promised you a snippet – and that you shall have. This is a part of the first chapter of the story.
